Your Meghalaya journey begins with a morning pickup from Guwahati. Drive towards Shillong through the green hills of Meghalaya.
Stop at Umiam Lake, one of the most scenic gateways to Shillong, before continuing towards the city.
After checking in, explore Shillong at a relaxed pace. Visit Ward's Lake and explore the city's local markets. Depending on your arrival time, you can also visit Don Bosco Museum or spend the evening around Police Bazaar.
After breakfast, drive towards Sohra (Cherrapunji).
Stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Continue towards Sohra and explore some of its major natural attractions.
Visit Nohkalikai Falls, followed by Mawsmai Cave and nearby viewpoints, depending on weather and available time.
Continue to your accommodation and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring more of the landscapes around Sohra.
Visit Seven Sisters Falls and Eco Park, followed by other nearby viewpoints and waterfalls depending on seasonal conditions.
For travellers interested in exploring beyond the main viewpoints, this day can also be used for a short local walk or additional sightseeing around the Sohra plateau.
Return to your accommodation in the evening and relax.
Start early and leave Sohra towards the southern Khasi Hills.
Continue through the Sohbar region towards Mawlynnong. Explore the village and visit the nearby Nohwet Living Root Bridge, a traditional example of Khasi living-root architecture.
Continue towards Dawki and the Umngot River, near the India-Bangladesh border. Spend some time by the river and, when conditions permit, enjoy a boat ride or other available river activities.
Later, continue to Shnongpdeng, a riverside village known for its clear waters and outdoor experiences.
Check in and enjoy the evening by the river.
Enjoy the morning around Shnongpdeng before beginning the journey towards Shillong.
Depending on weather and river conditions, you can spend some additional time around the Umngot River before leaving.
Continue towards Shillong through the Jaintia Hills and arrive by evening.
Check in and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Guwahati.
Depending on your departure time, you can spend some time exploring Shillong or enjoying a final breakfast in the city before leaving.
Drive towards Guwahati and continue to your airport, railway station or preferred drop-off point.
