A combination of the wild Dzukou trek with a stay in Asia's first green village, exploring the conservation history of the Angami people.

We base ourselves in Khonoma, a 700-year-old village where terraced rice paddies climb the hillsides. You will walk through stone gateways, learn about old hunting taboos turned into forest conservation laws, and drink local wild alder-nut tea with village craftsmen. After learning the history of the land, we hike into the high ridges of Dzukou Valley, bridging human heritage with the raw wilderness of the Nagaland highlands.

Route: Kohima → Khonoma Village → Dzukou Valley.
