Exploring the vertical, mist-covered capital of Mizoram before descending to the quiet weaving villages of the plains.
Aizawl clings to steep ridges, a city of narrow alleys and vertical steps. From here, we travel down to the quiet, warm meadows of Thenzawl. This is a journey of craft—sitting in local homes watching Mizo women weave intricate red-and-white Puan skirts on loin looms. We walk to the edge of the forest to see Vantawng Falls plunge 750 feet down a sheer green wall, and eat simple boiled vegetables with local smoked chilis.
Route: Aizawl → Thenzawl → Vantawng Falls.
