A short, slow ascent to the sacred summit of Reiek Peak through untouched old-growth rainforests.
Reiek Peak rises like a green giant over the surrounding hills. The path to the summit winds through ancient forests where giant creepers wrap around old trees and the canopy is thick with birds. We walk slowly, reaching the grassy clifftops just as the afternoon mist rolls in from the Bangladesh plains. Nights are spent in Reiek village, eating local bamboo shoot curry and sleeping in simple timber homestays.
